A bit about my story
Beginning with hope and progressing in trust and honesty, therapy can be an amazing
experience, entering into a truly healing environment that fosters growth and change.
This relationship of two open people is what motivates me to do this very human work.
Exploring personal history, embedded compromises, and long held defenses, it’s a real journey to discover the patterns and styles that hinder the experience of joy, intimacy and achievement. Together, in an atmosphere of mutuality and understanding, we will work to overcome the crisis of debilitating guilt, anxiety and depression.
My training is influenced by the Relational and Interpersonal schools of psychoanalytic
thought. Simply, this means it is not the therapist who knows all or even knows best,
but the therapist acts as an honest partner and mirror that helps foster genuine insight
in the here and now. Clients will not be mystified by complex theory or pressured in a
hierarchical relationship but will be in a new kind of relationship where anything can be
thought or said and curiosity replaces judgement. In this psychic setting, destructive
patterns and self-defeating beliefs can be clearly recognized, better understood, and changed.
